Wish my dad luck with his board exam

My dad is crazy. For a long time, I thought he was just eccentric. A chip off the odd block that was Post-Victorian Britain. However, I was wrong. He’s mad. Totally nuts.
Case in point. At the age of 73 he is taking his medical board exams again because when he was in England his US license lapsed. So, this thursday, he’ll be joining a group of 20 somethings in a hot stuffy room all day to prove he’s still got it. Mad I tell you. Bonkers.
Anyway, please please please add a comment to this post to encourage my dad and wish him well. Mad or not I love him dearly and really hope he passes. I think this will make him the oldest person in the US to ever pass the exam. You can do it dad!!!

You remind me of my grandpa, who is also a doctor. He maintains that, at the ripe old age of 93, he knows more than all the 20-something nurses, and I hope you stick it to your fellow test-takers this Thursday!

You may not know this…and I am not sure now is the most opportune time to tell you…..but in my life…you were always an inspiration.
When I was four perhaps five years old….you marched into my life….with such charm and grace….not knowing what America would bring to you and your young family…..but the willingness and drive to make the very best of it!
Not only did you make the best of it…..you became the very best! So here is a heartfelt thank you…..for always inspiring me to find the best and demand the best out of my life. You may never know what an impact you had on me…..but I will forever be grateful for your love and support through out my life.
I’ve worked hard….and I am pleased to say that it’s paid off. I am first and foremost a proud parent, a loving wife….and a great business women. Everything on my desk is always squared….my pens have to be in a perfect line….and I can’t stand when things are out of sorts….funny how summer’s at your office affected me!
Uncle Rod, good luck this week on the boards…..if anyone can do it….it’s you!
With Love and admiration~

Dear Dr. Eve,
Even though we have not formally met. I know many stories about you…All of them good of course from your son Sean a few from Nick. In particular I admire your social contribution as an eye doctor to society. Your endless pursuit to overcome whatever hurdles may stand in your way, to making people see better is a great influence, not only, im sure for your two sons, Sean and Nick, but also inspires me to overcome my procrastinating demons as well.
All the Best, from a great admirer.

I wish you all the best in your quest, Frank. You’re gonna be a record breaker! And you make all of us who were ever “mature” students prouder than you could ever know! It’s great to know someone of your age is still going for it - a tonic for us older troops. I’m only 41, but I felt old in undergrad school last year, and I remember the satisfaction of performing well in exams. You’ll ace it. Best of luck.

My high school anatomy teacher told us all when it came to test answers, “If you can’t find ‘em, cecum”. I’m not sure that was ever funny.
