Hillary, Step Down Now!!!
With substantial evidence showing that Republicans who would not vote for her in a general election are voting for her in recent primaries in increasingly significant numbers, it seems clear that the time is now for Clinton to step aside. Her campaign is a farce. At this point, Rush Limbaugh is her closest ally, and there is nothing her run for president is going to do except increase the likelihood John McCain will win. Do I blame Hillary though? Not completely. Here are the people on my shit list:
-Al Gore. For the love of all that is holy, how can you not come forward and support one of the candidates? Sure, you were VP under Bill, but the past is the past. He didn’t do your career any favors in the long run. You have considerable credibility now. Use it!
-John Edwards. Come on John. Make a decision already. You want to be VP, we get it. But your spineless waiting game makes you seem like more of a political opportunist than a true patriot concerned about the lives of ordinary Americans. Get off the sidelines.
-Howard Dean. The DNC should be called the DuNCe party at this point. What the hell are you thinking? You are letting this ridiculous thing drag on forever, draining money and enthusiasm needlessly and dividing the party. Get a clue.
At this point, since noone else of stature within the party seems willing to clean up the mess, the only one that can truly save us is you Hillary. Step down now and show that you actually care about something other than yourself.
If the democrats let this one get away from them, I’m done with the party. I make a good living. I care about politics. But I won’t pay money to support a bunch of idiots who would let nonsense like this get in the way of making true progress in this country.
